5 Affordable and Delightful ways to add Hygge to your Life
October 22, 2017
I love the concept of Hygge, I have long before I even knew what Hyggee meant, or could even pronounce the word itself correctly. But just incase you don’t know what it is:
I could list a whole handful of ways to create hygge in your life but Id be dragging on forever so I’ve decided to narrow it down to my personal 5 favourites.
I would love to say number one is to have a furry friend but not all of us can have pets in our spaces so a close second would be to add some plants to your space. I probably have eight plants in my home right now of varying sizes..
Plants are known for purifying the air and in turn means they are great for your health. Let us not forget how beautiful they are to look at too.
The picture above is a pretty close depiction of what I am doing right now, except I am typing on my laptop writing this blog post. Go buy a mug that will become your favourite mug you will always grab for to make tea, or if you already own one all the better.
The fall season is the perfect time of year to make warm home made soups too. I am partial to Thai-Pumpkin soup, have any of you checked out Half Baked Harvest? Don’t visit this food blog hungry!
I am a wimp for cold weather, my favourite place to be when its cold and rainy outdoors is at home under two blankets with oversized socks on watching Netflix.
Your looking at my favourite tea mug right there. Adding elements to your home that are full of memories, or nostalgia are the ultimate way to create that cozy feeling in your home.
Whether you’re an introvert, extrovert or somewhere in between, listening to music at home on your own or with your favourite pals will create some good feels. I love lighting up some good smelling candles and listening to music while I work at home.
