Interior Obsession: I love finding home accessories to cozy up with for the fall season, this would explain why “hygge” has been such a popular trend as of recently!

We’ve finally had our first Fall day here in Vancouver, ¬†this always puts me in home-body mode. Although I am admittedly not a fan of living in a city coined, “Raincouver” I am delighted when the warm summer air changes to cold, and the leaves start to fall from the trees.

Despite my absolute love for pastels and everything light and airy, there is a part of me that loves all the dark warm colours and cozy vibes the Fall and Winter season bring. I love to keep as much colour and warmth in my space as possible. Rain in Vancouver throughout the year can be a bit dampening, no pun intended.

I remember going to London for the first time a couple of years ago and making it a priority that I visit Liberty. They make timeless floral patterns and now they have partnered with Anthropologie so now you can access their designs more easily if you don’t live in Europe, or more specially the UK.

Alright, I may have an obsession for Pop & Scott….their products are drool worthy, not to mention the deep colours and raw materials they use in their designs, Im crossing my fingers some of their products make it over to North America from down under one day.

I was lucky to hear Kate Arends from Wit & Delight speak at IDS West in Vancouver a few weeks ago and she introduced me to the company Hygge & West, if you are looking for wallpapers they have a lovely collection ranging from feminine and floral to geometric and masculine.

The direction Ferm Living has gone with their Salon pillows is still just as patterned and exciting as their prior designs but with a bit more sophistication.

Australian designers have been bringing their A-Game lately, if you haven’t had the opportunity to check out Kimmy Hogan’s designs, you should. I love the depth in her paintings, not only that but she makes abstract flowers look absolutely beautiful.
