Shop the Makers: Vancouver

It’s that time of year when everyone is starting to think about what to buy their friends and family for Christmas, aka the most anxiety ridden time of year. My family agreed to stick to stockings; mainly because there isn’t a horde of little ones running around yet to buy gifts for.

One of my most challenging parts to the Holidays is trying to figure out what to get people. Many of the markets around Vancouver during the holiday season offer a wonderful curation of products to check out. A few of my favourites include, Fall for Local, Got Craft, and Refresh Market. The idea of a “craft market” is really changing from hobbyists to people who own e-commerce businesses, or wholesale their products.

I wanted to take an opportunity to share with you some of my favourite makers, shops and products from Vancouver. There is an enormous amount of talent in the city I live in, and often times it can be hard to find these talented people or their businesses.

I will note with my beauty care suggestions, there are so many great choices nowadays for all natural products whether they are from Vancouver or elsewhere. The products I included are ones I have used and absolutely love –this girls got sensitive skin so Im pretty picky when it comes to choosing body care.

I find it inspiring to be part of a community of businesses that are owned by talented women who are trying to create, or sell products that are well made, eco-friendly, and unique.
